On August 10, 2026, a magnitude 7.4 earthquake — one of the strongest to hit Colombia this century — struck the country's western region. From Chocó to the Coffee Region and the Valle del Cauca, homes and businesses collapsed, families were displaced, and thousands are only beginning to rebuild.

I'm a Colombian Bitcoiner living in Vienna, originally from one of the affected cities (Pereira). This campaign turns the money we believe in into fast, borderless, verifiable help for the people affected across Colombia.

How it works: For every 10 contributors, an "aid-block" is mined (the manual process I carry out to send the sats, convert them to Colombian pesos, and deliver them to that block's beneficiary foundation) and the funds are sent to Colombia. Donations can be made on-chain or via Lightning.

  • You contribute with sats (on-chain or Lightning). Funds land self-custodial, directly on my own BTCPay Server.

Transparency: all the information will be public on an accountability dashboard, where you'll be able to verify the total amounts donated, the exchange rates, the fees, and the amounts sent to each beneficiary foundation.

  • I off-ramp in Colombia and forward 100% of what's raised here to established, receipt-issuing Colombian relief organizations working on the ground, such as the Colombian Red Cross (#TodosPorColombia), Fundación PLAN, and ABACO (Colombia's food bank network).

Privacy: when you donate, no personal information is requested. It's like dropping a few coins into a donation box at a physical store, no one knows who donated or how much. Your contribution is completely anonymous and private.

Every sat raised here goes to these organizations, distributed to the communities that need it most. Every sat counts, and can make a difference.
